1-2 hours: LIGHT TAN - Suitable for fair, porcelain skin tones, providing a subtle, natural appearance.

3-4 hours: MEDIUM TAN - Ideal for lighter skin tones and those aiming for a natural, sun-kissed glow.

5-6 hours: MEDIUM/DARK TAN - Perfect for skin tones accustomed to tanning in the sun, offering a natural medium-dark tan.

7-8 hours: DARK TAN - Tailored for skin tones that tan easily, resulting in a deeper, beach-ready color.

For those aiming for their desired color intensity, consider applying two coats instead of one.

    HOW TO APPLY

    BUSY BABE SUNLESS

    STEP 1-EXFOLIATE

    within 24 hours with water and exfoliating mitt-avoid scrubs, oils, lotions or anything applied to skin post shower. Complete all shaving 24 hours or more in advance.

    STEP 2-PRIOR TO

    application, apply moisturizer to only dry areas such as knees, elbows, ankles, feet, hands.

    STEP 3-APPLY

    Busy Babe Sunless tanner starting at legs and working way up using Busy Babe's self tanning mitt. Apply at least two pumps per area, applying in long circular strokes and rubbing in as you apply. Avoid applying heavily to dry areas and only use residue left on mitt to apply to those areas.

    STEP 4-RINSE

    in appropriate amount of time depending on darkness level to achieve. 1-8 hours. Rapid rinse formulas will still take up to 24 hours to fully develop. AFTER 24 hours, stay hydrated and keep skin moisturized using self tan safe lotion. Avoid soap the first 24 hours and after 24 hours use non-stripping soap and lotion only.

    How does the self tanner work?

    Busy Babe Sunless products use 100% natural DHA actives to temporarily add bronzing to the skin. DHA, Dihydroxyacetone is what is in most sunless products to give you a glow without stepping into the sun. DHA is applied to the skin then rinsed and within 24 hours will have reached full color. DHA oxidizes with the top layer of your skin to create a tan look.

    Is Busy Babe Tan safe if you're pregnant or breastfeeding?

    First of all, from all of us here at Busy Babe Sunless, CONGRATULATIONS. Topical self tanning products are generally considered safe to use during pregnancy but we recommend checking with your provider prior to using any Busy Babe products both topical or otherwise. 

    Where are Busy Babe products made?

    Busy Babe was founded by spray tan artists and all mousse, lotion and spray are created at a lab right here in the USA. Busy Babe Mousse is bottled in Ohio. Some shipping products, packaging and labeling has been imported.

    How long does a tan from mousse last?

    How long a self tan lasts depends on a variety of factors including your skin, prep and application but most inviduals with proper prep and application can expect their tan to last around 5 days. We recommend properly removing all old tan before reapplying. 

    What is mousse vs gradual tanner? Which should I get?

    Busy babe tanning mousse is different than Busy Babe gradual tanner. Busy Babe tanning mousse contains much higher levels of DHA, allowing you to rinse in a few hours up to leaving on overnight. The longer the mousse is left on prior to rinsing, the darker you will develop. 2-8 hours is the recommended time to leave on mousse prior to rinsing and it will develop either light, medium, medium-dark or dark depeneding. 

    Busy Babe Subtle Glow gradual tanner contains a light amount of DHA. Applying gradual tanner provides you with a light amount of color that is buildable, using daily. Gradual tanner can be used by individuals who don't want to commit to applying a self tanning mousse, those who want a very light glow or those who want to extend the life of their sunless tan. Applying gradual tanning lotion with hands is an option but make sure you wash hands after application.
